Catfish and The Bottlemen.

I’ve been listening to this band for a few years now, when they weren’t famous that is. They toured a lot of the north before they went big. A cracking band who please my ears daily, well worth a listen too, especially the songs they cover on YouTube too including Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Van McCan is a talented chap, not just a generic artist who can play guitar. The ability to interchange songs midway through songs is something not a lot of people can do. Van claims he only ever see’s lyrics in front of his mind, and can fit “About 50 songs” into other tracks he plays. I recommend listening to him sing The Killers – Read My Mind on YouTube. Also listen to the cover The Bottlemen called “I won’t let you down” By Rita Ora. Not only is Van gifted at making music, his ability to write great lyrics is unreal. Definitely looking forward to the next couple of years to see what this band do. Having played at huge gigs such as Reading & Leeds Fest, they are rapidly becoming the nations favorite band with their range of music. Typically an alternative rock band with an indie punk twist, they also make great acoustic tracks too.

The band were formed in Llandudno, North Wales. Benji Blakeway is the only member that was born there, they lived in Wales but aren’t actually Welsh other than Benji. Their debut album was released on the 15th of September 2014 called “The Balcony” Produced by Island Records. Their first album was such a hit, no one could wait for their second album which came out on the 27th of May 2016, called “The Ride, again a big hit in the charts across the globe and reaching No1 in the UK Album Charts. At the 2016 Brit Awards, Catfish and The Bottlemen won the British Breakthrough Act Category. They later headlined the Liverpool Sound City in May 2016. They have also performed at festivals such as Latitude, Strawberry Fields, T In The Park and Ibiza Rocks to name a few. There is only good things I can see in the future with this band. A real class act with a charismatic young front man.

Thank you blessing me and millions of others with your music guys.
